Hello Vic, Delighted to respond on service from the Newton Abbot staff. As a retired business man I know of the importance of what is called service... or what I would prefer to call... service that excels, service that goes that little bit further than the good book says. I take my Honda in for a recall on the passenger airbag and tell Dan of a wobbly offside wing mirror glass after a “meeting” with another wing mirror on a narrow road. No fuss just a friendly “we’ll take care of it". And they did. I am no engineer... cars are a motorised tin box on four wheels to get one from A to B; other people who have a need to regularly do that I am more than happy to say Honda from Speedwell. Thank you for your email. I will score a 5 when I receive the request from Honda. My experience in Newton Abbot was very pleasant. Staff were friendly, polite, good humoured, informative, proactive and efficient. This included texting me when the work was complete (within the timescale specified), leaving the service booklet open on the passenger seat showing the service stamp (meaning I didn’t need to check), and welcoming me back at collection with humour. I really do appreciate your human centric approach. Thank you. The above directly contrasts with the dealership for my last car (not Honda but large player) which was unfriendly, inefficient and with far too greater an emphasis on selling as against service. I chose to buy Honda because of good reviews on reliability and also the closeness of Newton Abbot to our home. My first service experience was a pleasure, so thank you. Yours sincerely J Nietrzebka
I was very happy with the service provided by Speedwell Honda yesterday, enabling me to drive my car again with confidence. You staff are kind and friendly as well as being efficient. This counts for a lot in my opinion. My car started briskly this morning as required, rather than being a non-starter as it was yesterday. Surprising the difference a new battery makes.
